We've developed an app --- that's right, us (the folks who would rather look at ancient books and maps than remember to charge our cellphones)!
The Detroit History Tours App allows people to take a world-class tour using their phones. Just download the free app, select from the catalog of tours, buy the tour of your choice, and enjoy. All purchases are direct via the app store. No mess no fuss.
Detroit History Tours is proud to offer these digital audio/visual tours in addition to our in-person tours by bus, boat, and foot. It is our sincere hope that guests will enjoy downloading these virtual tours and exploring our city on any schedule.
The App is complimentary with each tour costing $20 dollars to download. Once you've bought a tour- it's yours for life, allowing guests to enjoy it as many times as they'd like.

GPS and your device's navigation allow the app to guide you as you walk, bike, or drive the route. At each location, an audio clip will play with accompanying images to teach the history of the location and add details to the story of Detroit.
Aren't in Detroit but want to "travel" with us? No problem- each tour has a manual feature to allow you to advance through locations hearing the audio and seeing the images without being on location.
Once the app is downloaded you’ll be able to look through the catalog of available tours. Click a tour to read the tour’s description. In the description you’ll see the distance traveled, approximate time to complete, and how many stops are on that tour. If you decide to purchase the tour click “BUY TOUR” and it will automatically purchase through your app store billing - and download to your device.
